I'll always take the shots.

I went to the gym today , the first time in about 2 weeks. I kept it kind of easy so as to avoid re-injuring my shoulder. I'm going to ease back into things.

Kelli, I think it's good to mix up your workout.

Took the dog for a nice exercise walk of 3 miles. Just did not feel like working and it was too nice to just stay inside. Now just back home I will get a tall glass of something cold and Lily and I will go sit outside on the patio.

Short day at Equity, only 75 calves. We started on time and were done in about a half hour. We tagged only 14.

Went to town after and got a couple things, one of them being a bag of shrimp. I'll peel those and saute them in either butter or coconut oil. Maybe a little of both. Green Grin!

Since I didn't have to be home and I had some extra time, I stopped at the assisted living place and visited 2 of my aunts that live there. Aunt Margie is 91 and has all her faculties, but forgets things now and then. Aunt Ruth knew who I was, but beyond that, I don't know. She asked where my Mom was........(she died 3 years ago). Then on my way out I saw another relative, so talked to her a few minutes. She and her walker were on their way outside to "see what the weather was like outside today".

When I got home I mixed up a batch of the Russian Black Bread, as the SU needs something for his sandwiches and field food. I hope tomorrow I can try and make some cinnamon rolls in the RV oven. I suppose I should make him some cookies since I sent the last of them with him today. I try not to send junk with him..........but a cookie or 3 is appreciated when he is gone for15 hours. I even sent grapes along with his ham sandwiches.

Worked for 2-1/2 hours outside this afternoon, cleaned out the fountain and put it away for the winter, that was the first time with the new fountain, it was quite a job, stupid design left about 3 inches of water in the bottom and ther was no way to empty it, I tried every which way and ended up bailing it with a small plastic cup then drying it with paper towels. Next year I am getting a pump to empty it. Angry DH put it away in the garage for the winter, I will miss the sound of the running water when I am outside.

Thank you Karen, they are campanulas, wonderful bell plants for part shady areas, they have been in that bed for several years and come back every year no matter how bad the winter had been, I also have them in white in other beds.

I thought so. I had some years ago but they eventually died out.

Rained stopped and it dried out so we were able to go for our 3 milk exercise walk.

It seems to be getting harder to do the walks. I go slower and I used to do 3 1/2 miles. But lately just able to do the 3 miles.

Go at your own pace, Rita. Three miles is better than two, is better than one, is better than none! Do you have hills in your route? Maybe rechart for an easier walk?

Everywhere is uphill from my house. Some hills are steeper and I avoid those.

I was just thinking that I do a fair amount in the garden so don;t seem to be getting in all the walking I used to do.

I'm in a pretty hilly area as well. My neighbor drives into town for her walks - she either goes around the high school track (boring for me, and not dog friendly) or along the main street (flat as a pancake) and does a bit of window shopping on her way. We recently did some major road improvements into my back woods and that makes for a nice walk. We have numerous tractor roads and it's like a small park back there. My neighbor dog usually accompanies me and chases down squirrels or whatever else catches her attention. I'm a bit leery about bears but I make noise as I walk.

Sounds lovely Deb, I would be leery of the bears, and cougars as well walking alone, always good to have a dog or two with you.

I can always drive somewhere flat and then walk but I really like to just walk out my door and start on the walk.

A busy day! I worked out in the yard for 2 to 3 hours. Making progress but still a lot to do. Later I spent more time cleaning out the extra bedroom where the washer and dryer will be. I'm still sorting and shredding papers of my Mom's. I still had two boxes of pictures and papers which I rid myself of. She died three years ago! Ugh! This house is just full of junk.

My husband spent a lot of time moving Christmas stuff, luggage, and various other junk in the basement. We have to shuffle stuff around so the plumber, electrician and general contractor can access the stuff they need to get to.

We gave away so much stuff to the Veterans yesterday, the big bags and boxes covered a good portion of our big front porch. And there will be more next week. Slow but steady progress.

The best gift any of us can give our family is to clear out our own junk while we are alive. I'm slowly working on that - scanning in documents I 'might' need but reducing my paper files from a pretty full two drawers to about 4". Donating lots of books and knick knacks to the senior center. Reducing the amount of excess furniture. I find that painting a room gets me motivated to really take a hard look at what I have accumulated over the years. Most stuff is just...stuff.

I was disappointed when I received a letter yesterday saying that my Medicare supplement (United Health Care) will no longer cover Silver Sneakers in Ohio after this year. Sad That paid for our gym membership. Open enrollment begins soon so I guess we'll look at options.
