I love beets and have such fond memories of my German mother's Borscht! I need to make it. Love broccoli steamed lightly, cauliflower, and hated Brussel sprouts until my Mom made them while we lived with her, it was so good we had seconds. I have tasted overcooked awful ones and these were totally different, cooked right.

This is my first batch of home grown beets I picked last week. Cooked them all up and am slicing them into salads, from the lettuce we're growing. Yum!
