Chances are youve been looking at gloriosa. Yucca aloifolia is not hardy to zone 5, 6 and 7. Minimum hardiness is zone 8 at best.
Also, factor in that for xeric plants wet= -1 one hardiness zone. Even if its borderline 7b if its wet and cold it might as well be 6a.
