Hi all! I wasn't feeling well yesterday. So happy we have our forum!
Didn't know you were sick Lynn. Happy you're feeling better!
I lost some Agastaches (newly planted ones) the last two years because of the dry hot heat we've had. You'd think I would've move up to a higher zone instead of 6a!
I 'finally' found the secret to 'Ava'! When I bought 3 more from HCG in 2010, I carefully read the catalog for Ava and memorized it and it stated that add some compost to the planting hole. I thought it stated it on the website too, but I just looked and it doesn't. Anyway, they're still alive!
That year, I also bought from them 3 'Blue Blazes', 3 'Summer Love' and 3 'Coronado Red'. I wanted to make sure they didn't dry out and tried to keep them watered, but it appears that I lost 2 of the 'Coronado Red'.
I love 'Raspberry Summer' !!!
Wonderful and very beautiful!
'Ava' is great to have for color in the late Summer. I noticed last year that in the flower bed where the plants are it looked to be doing great, whereas, the other Agastaches weren't colorful or as colorful.
I love Agastaches!
They attract Hummers and/or BF's/Bees, they're long blooming and low maintenance. What more could a gardener want?!
