I have a couple of varieties of these, Bidens, that are currently blooming, in fact, have been in bloom all year, even through the winter. Cheerful yellow blooms when nothing else is blooming, now that's a valuable plant!


They make a nice small spreader plant on the borders of the beds.

You can see it here at the base of my Salvia canariensis taken in July.
