Liza - I can't tell you just how many roses I've killed in my quest to have a rose garden in zone 5! But I can tell you this, if it was illegal to kill plants, I'd been in prison for a very very VERY long time.

I'm gonna take a wild guess, but I've probably killed... oh.. 25? trees, probably about .. 400? roses, and ungodly amount of shrubs & perennials. And I've been doing this seriously only since '09. So don't be afraid to kill a plant. It's not like the plant's family is going to rise up & take revenge.. unless you're killing Triffids.. (
