I started from seed what was sent to me as Blue Tweedia. Looking at the leaves, I am thinking perhaps what I actually have is Southern Star. Not knowing anyone who has either of these plants, I'm not certain but my leaves and growth habits appear to better reflect the Southern Star plant, as described. The yellow aphids are attracted to it.

Trade as cutting
Besides mama plant, I have one nice healthy, rooted cutting growing in a small pot. I found the cutting very easy to root.

Perhaps a bird dropped seed but this year, this little vine showed up in my garden and it is everywhere! Unless you have something you want covered quickly and don't mind being overrun, this would be ideal. Otherwise, be careful.

The color of these flowers is amazing.

Seed pods from my personal plants, harvested Fall 2015 ... plant leaves are consumed by caterpillars of the butterflies Eurema nicippe (Sleepy Orange), Phoebis philea (Orange-barred Sulfur), and Phoebis sennae (Cloudless Sulfur). The foliage is also eaten by the caterpillars of Epargyreus clarus (Silver-Spotted Skipper) and Ascalapha odorata (Black Witch), while the flowers are eaten by caterpillars of the polyphagous moth, Pleuroprucha insulsaria (Common Tan Wave). The seeds pods of this plant do not open on their own, so no worry over reseeding. NIce plant for a small home garden.
