A new series by Ted Petit. It is advertised as being "Very" rust resistant. On this particular cultivar, Key Largo Moon, the petals have a slight ruffling that gives it a more modern look.

An heirloom (1916) daffodil that opens all white. Formerly was wrongly listed as a division 8 daffodil. Winner of forcing award in 1921. My experience confirms its appeal as an excellent forcing subject. After forcing, it may be transplanted into garden for flowering in subsequent years.

An all white, multi-flowering (7 + florets / stem), American-bred entry w/ excellent scent and ribbon-winning potential. Said to resemble its seed parent ('Quick Step') but w/ broader petal segments.

Brent and Becky's think this daffodil has the most orange perianth of any daffodil.

There are two entries for Avalon in the RHS's International Daffodil Register & Classified List.
The other entry is a registered division 3 (small cup) daffodil w/ 1st flowering note of pre-1913 from England's A M Wilson. This second entry is described as a late season bloomer w/ a white perianth and a shallow, lightly frilled orange red corona (3 W - OOR).

By diggit on May 10, 2013 12:36 PM, concerning plant: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Leanna')

Grows well in Indiana, but a bit shorter than listed on a first year plant. Expect height and form to improve on this year's bloom.

The falls overlap, which is a desirable trait to me personally. Also, the area around the beard brightens to almost silver on the second day.

Definitely shows 'Fogbound' parentage, only with redder beard. Grows vigorously in Indiana.

Exceeded my expectations in color and especially form. Seems to be a good grower in Indiana so far, although it is not sending up a stalk on its second year plant. Sometimes they just do that.

Not a tall grower, but not short enough to qualify as a Border Bearded. And this is a reflection of its parentage of 'Wild Jasmine,' which also is not a taller plant.
