By Maryl on May 10, 2013 10:11 PM, concerning plant: Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Key Largo Moon') A new series by Ted Petit. It is advertised as being "Very" rust resistant. On this particular cultivar, Key Largo Moon, the petals have a slight ruffling that gives it a more modern look. [ | Reply to this comment ] |
By jmorth on May 10, 2013 5:58 PM, concerning plant: Triandrus Daffodil (Narcissus 'Thalia') An heirloom (1916) daffodil that opens all white. Formerly was wrongly listed as a division 8 daffodil. Winner of forcing award in 1921. My experience confirms its appeal as an excellent forcing subject. After forcing, it may be transplanted into garden for flowering in subsequent years. By diggit on May 10, 2013 12:36 PM, concerning plant: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Leanna') Grows well in Indiana, but a bit shorter than listed on a first year plant. Expect height and form to improve on this year's bloom. [ | Reply to this comment ] |
By diggit on May 10, 2013 12:21 PM, concerning plant: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Banjo Girl') The falls overlap, which is a desirable trait to me personally. Also, the area around the beard brightens to almost silver on the second day. [ | Reply to this comment ] |

By diggit on May 10, 2013 11:12 AM, concerning plant: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Lost in Love') Exceeded my expectations in color and especially form. Seems to be a good grower in Indiana so far, although it is not sending up a stalk on its second year plant. Sometimes they just do that. [ | Reply to this comment ] |

By diggit on May 9, 2013 2:33 PM, concerning plant: Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Cinnamon Sentiment') Not a tall grower, but not short enough to qualify as a Border Bearded. And this is a reflection of its parentage of 'Wild Jasmine,' which also is not a taller plant. [ | 1 reply ] |
