Just the daffodils in full bloom. A couple small tulips. We don't plant many becasue of the deer. The grape hyacinths have been very short & small. Miniature dwarf irises are trying to bloom & one red flower of polyathus pimula is open.. I think the lack of moisture is really going to be harmful. Sad

Hurray! , Jo Ann!

I have a new double lemon yellow one that I need to photograph today. The bunnies ate the blooms of the others, so I'd better get it done. They've also decimated my Taquetii astilbe, the little brats.

The scars will heal.
I've been there.
And I'm sure you will be out there patching up.
Considering planting natives, I hope!

Oh a new thread, good. Souldn't you close the old one so no one can keep posting there? There are getting to be lots of stickies. Do the two old threads always stay stickies?

I have garden chores to do and have already been working out in the garden. I love it when it is glorious spring like it is now. Soon it will be time to buy and plant the summer annuals. I plant zinnias, impatiants, marigolds, snapdragons and portulacas each year here. Gives lots of summer color.

I was thinking about daylily slope today as I was working out in the garden. Thinking about the bulbs. I decided that instead of planting the yellow flowered Jewel of Spring there on the slope I will get a mix of Impression tulips. Scheepers has the Impression tulip grand collection. Which simply means all the Impression colors. Of course Impressions are darwins. But they are supposed to be big showy tulips. And somewhat perennial. I think that would be best there and I am sure it would look fabulous. Will just plant those Jewel of the Spring in the backyard in the garden overlooking the daylily plateau.

I was planning on buying that Impression collection anyway and planting it there in the backyard. But I think it will have much more impact on the slope. So basicly I just switched planting places. I want that daylily slope to have a very striking impact.

We have small white trillium, not the large grandeflorum.
