And that ends my Spring postings. I have a few reblooms to post (maybe tomorrow) but outside of that, I am done posting pics till next year. Now I can go back to strolling through the rest of your virtual gardens till Spring comes. That helps me so much be patient for Spring!

You're welcome Ev! I believe my Temporal Anomaly did not bloom the 1st year but it was because it was growing this giant clump (well giant for my garden anyway). After that it has bloomed for the last 3 years, and very heavy at that. I hope you have the same result Evelyn because it is such an Amazing Iris.
Maybe we have many of the same Irises because of all these dang wonderful photographers out here who unrelentlessly entice us Smiling

Venus Visit is really unique Evelyn. If you can find it, I highly recommend it. And if not, hopefully mine increases enough, I can share it.

It took 3 tries before Temporal Anomaly finally lived for more then a year, It's now in my most successful bed near the house, increasing nicely, but every year the rhizomes that should bloom rot off. This last summer that didn't happen, but the ones that should have bloomed just stopped growing and aborted their energy to the increases. Some year I really hope to see it. Sad

Another thought:
I wonder what a cross of Sweetwater Pie Burns and Tango Amigo would produce.

Robin: Your picture of Electric Candy is the best I have seen. It's a real beauty!

Tom: when it comes to Iris growing environments, your's and mine could almost be considered polar opposites. Yet, I always find myself surprised when one of my monster growers struggles for someone else. But likewise, I really struggle with some that others have great success with, such as Immortality! I think mine was crossed with a Century Plant Hilarious! Thanks for sharing your experiences with Temporal Anomaly. And if you lose it again to rot, I always seem to have extras Smiling

Lucy: Thanks. It followed Snow Peas and it was late at night Smiling I corrected Snow Trees.

Hi all,
With our gardening season 2019 approaching its end, I now have time to go through my iris photos and have been adding some to the database, as you may or may not have noticed.

I haven't posted here in a long while but often lurk and regularly use the database as a reference. I would just like to thank everyone who uploads photos to the database which is, IMO, the best going! Thank You!

Best regards from Switzerland

@sunnyvalley,
I missed about 3/4 of your new database photos - probably due to our different time zones, and your photos getting buried by the time I open up the site.
Attrazione Fatale was a favorite. It's form is quite simple, like the old historic irises, but the coloring is intriguing. I gathered from reading the database entry, that the real "fatal attraction" is the "pronounced scent".
I loved your arrangement of Original Cast in the tall vase, too.

I better stop here, or I might list them all.

@IrisLilli - yes, I also think it is a nice photo of 'Renewal'. I don't grow it myself and I am not really a fan of plicatas but I thought this one was particularly eye-catching. We saw it when we visited the 'Chateau de Vullierens' this past May. Really a lovely garden and well worth a visit if you are ever in the French part of Switzerland.
I took this photo standing in the middle of their TB propagation field so it shows less than half of what they are growing. They also have a lovely display garden.

@DraDiana - Diana, really appreciate your comments. New photos can sometimes get 'buried' but the most important thing is that they are there so that when you need to look up a particular iris you also find a reference photo to go along with all the info. NGA's database is great especially the lineage links (parentage/descendants).
Glad you are enjoying the photos I am posting. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the perfume of 'Attrazione Fatale' as it is growing in a rather hard to get to spot in the garden, so I haven't really noticed. I will however try and make a point of putting my nose to it next season.
