@Lestv - Glad you have enjoyed them Leslie.

As I mentioned before, I am grateful to everyone who takes the time to add to the database. All the photos I have added are 2019 blooms. For me, and I hope others also, a good iris season!
Here some bed photos of my iris this season …...

I also had a couple of pretty 'babies' in the seedling bed. Nothing spectacular but there are a couple that I'm keeping to work with. These crosses were done in 2017, my second year of hybridizing irises. I am hoping (expecting) better results next season.

Here are a couple of my seedlings that bloomed for the first time this year:

I missed about 3/4 of your new database photos - probably due to our different time zones, and your photos getting buried by the time I open up the site.

Evelyn - thank you and it is a pleasure. Just trying to play a small part in making NGA's iris database 'the best' around.

Nice gardens, love the raised beds. Seedlings sure are fun aren't they?

Sharlene: I too went through your entire collection of photos in the Database. What a beautiful colection of irises. Many I had never seen before, so that was an added treat. And your garden is just breathtaking, a work of art in itself.

You seem to be doing a great job with the hybradizing as well!!

Thanks all for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate them since I seldom comment in the forums, just lurk, but often use NGA's database.
I am mainly on Facebook these days which has been a great for me. It is thanks to Facebook that I got to meet one of my favourite iris hybridizers in person this year - Augusto Bianco.

So if you don't hear from me for a while …… *Blush*

I think lots of people do that (lerk) Sharlene! Afterall, we are all busy gardeners and there is lots fighting for our attention (like weeds) Smiling I personally think keeping the database populated is most important. I use it extensively to decide on the next years purchases.

With regard to the Hybradizers, we had one of my favorites grace us with his presence and wisdom this last Spring...Ghio. It was a wonderful surprise Smiling

Just wanted to share my bluebird of happiness--it really did make me happy

so happy in fact, that I was devastated when I discovered that it had been overrun by sprawling neighbors when I went to relocate it this fall, then I had to get two more for insurance Sticking tongue out
Crossing Fingers! soon I'll be over run with it and need to share. I put them all in a primo place!
