No, peppers are slower to pop up than tomatoes. But I know what you mean as I am always impatient for all my seedlings to sprout!!

Thanks, Rita. I unplugged the heat mat under the tomatoes today, but am keeping it on under the pepper seeds.

How are your seedlings doing, folks? Mine are so small they'll never be ready to plant out.....may have to grow them in pots this year.

My tomato seedlings are looking very good. My pepper seedlings are looking good, too, except for the Ace Bell peppers. Not one of the 8 peat posts is showing any seedlings yet. I put two of my LED lights back in the greenhouse yesterday since we are expecting a fairly cloudy week.

Hope those peppers come up for you. Sometimes nothing happens with a particular variety and I hate that.

Slowpokes!!

This year my peppers seedlings are fantastic. Large and green. Last year they were tiny things when I planted them out. And I had to baby them along until they grew larger.

Cleared up and lovely this afternoon. So I started my tomato planting. Planted out my Banded Amazon and Bandelier seedlings. Watered.

Plan to plant more tomorrow.

Finally am seeing a couple of the Ace Sweet Peppers breaking ground...23 days! Other peppers are doing better than I could hope for...have to thin them out soon. Tomatoes are about 3 inches high now. They won't be planted outside for at least 3 more weeks. Peas are coming up outside.

Protect those baby toms, Rita! I know you don't get the late frosts that we do, but cold nights are forecast.

I am pretty sure they will be just fine on their nests of Fall leaves that they get planted in.

Around here all the Nurseries tell you to plant tomatoes after Mothers Day. I could never wait that long!!

Already planted ten more today. All Sungold and Sunsugar. Have more tomato planting planned for this afternoon yet.
