This looks like a form of Echeveria agavoides that is distinct from "Lipstick" (aka "Red Edge"), which has more of a gradual taper in the leaves, which are almost triangular in shape, especially with the red highlights. Take a look at some of the other images for this cultivar and you will see a few other differences.

I would like to propose moving this image to the species entry for Echeveria agavoides instead.

Echeveria (Echeveria agavoides)

What do you think? Is it okay to make the move? Please let me know.

I go by the labeling when the source is trusted. This one I purchased and planted is from Annie's Annuals and Perennials. I can see the difference in what they are advertising and what I purchased. http://www.anniesannuals.com/p...
Feel free to move it and I will change the description to reflect from where and what it was sold as. Here's another photo with the relevant bit of the label I placed there upon planting. I tip my hat to you.

Thank You!

Yes, their web site shows what looks like the true "Lipstick" to me. Your plant is the same species but may make flowers that are some color other than scarlet (I'm guessing yellow). That's a winter thing here, but maybe not in your climate.

Does Annie's Annuals carry any other Echeveria agavoides? Perhaps the labels got mixed up? It does happen sometimes. Smiling

It's the only agavoides they carry. It may be mislabeled as wishing it's the one they had. nodding

I need to make a trip there again.

Hunted up a, not so good, photo of it flowering and indeed they are yellow. E. agavoides has as one of it's common name "Lipstick" and that may have slipped into 'Lipstick' labels being used. Annie's is 80 miles away but a world away weather wise. They enjoy marine influence year round with lots of fog and most days overcast or cloudy. Plants grow incredibly well there. Our range here is 17-118 degrees. It's an incredible bay area nursery! The selection is large. The display garden is always a stunner! I tip my hat to you.
