I just found this noid phaius? at a gift shop/garden center. It has purple and white flowers and tons of new growth and spikes on the way~

I am revising my earlier post...I believe the plant I bought is a Spathoglottis. The helpful tag that came with it called
it ' the easy orchid' and the helpful salesperson said it likes 'office light'

I had posted that it didn't look like any phaius I knew of but I doubted myself and didn't post it! Feelin' less stupid now.

Well now all I need is one of those 'just add ice' orchids and I'll have a complete collection!

Kathy, do you worry about shipping the plants during the dog days? I saw some plants I wanted the other day, but was concerned that they would cook enroute.

The sellers usually wait till they think it's safe or I send them a message and ask what they think. I've had very good luck with this seller. It's the ones I rarely buy from that I write notes to. Actually I've had no problems with the heat this summer (other than my brains frying with no AC)!

Ran into some of Roger West's orchids today in downtown Shelburne Falls. I scooped up Blc. Penny's Spot 'Hawaiian Dream.'
