An ebay seller wrote to me because a bud (as advertised) on the plant I bought didn't develop. So I bought a Trichocentrum Maureen (a mule ear oncidium) in bud instead. Now I'm having second thoughts since I don't really like oncidiums in general. I hope it wins my heart. I know it's fragrant. Does anyone have and treasure this plant?

I was a very happy camper last Friday at the Silva Orchid/Shore Orchid Fest. Silva took over the Summer Fest from Parkside this year.
The vendor set-up was great and very user friendly - well done by Silva!

Here is the loot list:
Blc Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua' HCC/AOS -in bloom and very fragrant
Lc Sagarik Wax 'NN' - in bloom and also very fragrant
Habenaria Ericmichaelii - starting to open
Laelias bradei, fournieri, ghillanyi
Stenoglottis woodsii - in bloom
Tolumnia variegata
Gastrochilus bellinus
Holcoglossum amesianum
Coelogyne multiflora
Ceratostylis philippinensis 'Parkside' CCM/AOS - gorgeous large plant
Slc Circle of Life - tiny plant in bloom
Ctsm barbatum - it's your fault Kathy!!
Laelia Pulcherrima 'Beach Valley Girl' - I was still crying about the loss of my large Laelia purpurata, so I consoled myself with this gorgeous Hybrid.
Lc Mini Purple 'Shibuya' SM/JOGA
Miltoniopsis Arthur Cobble Dick 'Springtime' HCC/AOS - it smells beautifully
Fuchsara Crownfox - in bloom and another spike in the works.
In addition - my most generous friend who drove in for the Orchid Fest and stayed a few days with us, gifted me two beautiful plants:
A really cute Bl Tiny Kiss ( from Suwada, the Japanese vendor) - the pictures show the tiny mature plant and proportionally large and very pretty blooms. And a Dendrobium bensoniae which had escaped my radar.

Isn't it? I am looking forwards to blooming this one.
It seems this was Suwada's first appearance at an Orchid Fest in THIS region, as far as I know. The cute Bl Tiny Kiss, the Coelogyne multiflora and the Lc Mini Purple and the Ctsm also came from Suwada. Perhaps they attend a Show in your region in the near future and you can pre- order.
Btw the rupicolous Laelias came from Andy!
