Well, Bulbo echinolabium isn't far away from my Amorphophallus in the stinking department, holy smokes...if you have prolific bloomer like my plant, it just keeps on going and going. But the blooms are so beautiful.
I stood once next to a Bulbo phalaenopsis in the sunshine at a show, the stench made my eyes water. I tried to grow it, since it really is a very neat plant, but eventually I lost it.
Jim your frostii is adorable. I hope mine will bloom one day!

Love those little B. frostii slippers!

They really do look like slippers! If I was a little fairy with tiny little feet, I'd want to put those on and wear them Rolling my eyes.

You would need to get some Dr. Sholes Order-Eater inserts. Hilarious!

They both were from Kawamoto...I went WAY over my usual stingy budget,
but after hearing Jim go on and on about B. Little Stars I HAD to have it!
and after seeing all of Kathy's wonderful Cyms, I'm hoping I can do these plants
justice...the ones that I got from Kawamoto are all the warmer types, so we'll see.

Well, one of the selling points that the folks from Arcadia made was that 'it was easy to add to the length'!

I got my box from H & R orchids yesterday,Bc. Maikai 'Spotted Star' with 3 spikes of buds!
C. Banana Split, L. Ipanema Beach, C. Dowiana v aurea, L. tenebrosa, and Psychopsis papilo 'Yellow Bird'
Thumb of 2010-11-28/sugarcane/e69138 The plant total came to $80. and that's what they charged
my card...no shipping fee on this order. The plants were beautifully and carefully packed with shreds and
what looked like cotton batting then wrapped in newspaper and foam wrap on top of that.
