It doesn't like night temps below 60 F and likes bright indirect sun. Sounds like it would work there..... Confused

I've been looking at it too. Those temps may be too strict for me even with my new lanai. The flower is a killer however.

You know, maybe I should try again. I killed one a few years ago, but looking at it again - the cultural conditions actually should have been a reasonable match with mine.

As a judge of the Taiwanese shows, Carri gets first dibs directly from the best hybridizers before the plants are cloned. These are hobbyist growers like us who are very talented at picking parents to x. Every year they introduce brand new hybrids. It was a wonderful talk and Carri is so enthusiastic! I met her at W. Hartford, CT and Jo and I bought great hybrids from her. Here is a link to photos from the 2010 show. http://bit.ly/ku0pqe

Kathy, does that mean your lovely Dpts. is one of a kind? Or does Carri get them cloned after she selects them?

Steven, I don't think she personally clones them but she had a few of each. So they are probably not from 2011.

So she does get them cloned, I wondered if it was a one of a kind you picked up. Do growers actually sell one of a kind uncloned hybrid orchids?

In reply to billc's question. The tag that came with it reads Rfda. Jerry "Pacific Empire", not sure if the tag is correct.
billc said:Nice, Albert. Is that an actual oncidium or an intergeneric? I like the color combo.
