Love looking at everyones beautiful blooms, no daylilies blooming here there are scapes that have a ways to go before bursting into bloom. Well there were a few blooms on new plants from warmer climates.

Ok, I have one blooming today. A couple more might open before the day is over.

I mentioned that Velvet Onyx doesn't double for me.Never has. I have checked & rechecked, and that is what this is supposed to be - unless it's an evil twin! On the other hand, I am not really into doubles so I don't care, and I love this one. By the way, it bloomed 7/8/2011, so this bloom is a full 3 weeks ahead of last year.

Jan I have Velvet Onyx and it only doubles for me when it is really hot & humid. Otherwise it looks like yours, & I agree I like it single. I would keep it anyways since it represents a past furbaby.
