Really beautiful blooms, guys! I also exchanged emails with Bill Maryott last week because he wants BUSY BEING BLUE to be a little larger when he sends it so he wants to wait a while. I was adding to my order anyway, and I don't mind waiting longer -- I might even find something else I just have to have before he ships my order!
Ohhhh Buddy's Droopy - exactly the kind of daylily I love! Of course, I love all of them Fred!
Betty, they sent a letter with the box explaining that the weather was affecting fan size.Personally, I thought the fans were great. Not super duper huge like the ones out of Florida, but still reasonable sizes. And I too, thought about adding to my order when I talked to him a couple of weeks ago, thankfully I didn't since they sent so many gifts!~Jan
JWWC, thanks for thinking of me! Those are pentamerous. OOOO I just thought of a great name. I have several seedlings that throw 5x5s on a regular basis. How about "Amorous Pentamerous"?
I like the name Buddy's Droopy. Makes me giggle.
Dawn Jubilee is different.
Isn't it amazing how different daylilies can be? God is good!
I think it was Mona that asked about Gram Hansen. Boy I really messed that spelling up the other day . It's a dip by Hansen, 1996. 20" semi-evergreen blooms mid-late. I don't have a notation as to fertility, so I must not have tried to set a pod last year. It is a very nice garden plant.
It's my cats world, I'm just here to open the cans.
Name: Mona Guntown, Ms (Zone 7b) I love nature & everything outdoors
Thanks so much for the wonderful photos and the information on Gram Hansen. I'm always looking for great orange ones but I'm working with tets so, I'll have to look on. If I like a plant and it has good habits, I don't care how old or young it is to add to my collection. So, if this had been a tet it would probably have been a good buy. Thanks so much for looking for me.
Fantastic blooms -- I too love BUDDY'S DROOPY, and what a great name! And Kim, you really have some beauties there! I love the bright ones, so I'm really drawn to PREDICTION and the oranges and golds, but VESUVIAN looks like it is a beautiful deeper velvety red color. Love it!
Wow, COLOR FUSION never looked that great for me -- I'm very impressed! Your KEEP ON DREAMIN' also looks fantastic -- I just love these lavish borders!
Wow ! i'm really liking that Blue Beetle Ann, I'm basically just starting serious bloom. The garden is only half in bloom lots more to go So I'm thinking peak will be first week of July....and I have off for Vacation I plan on going to a couple of open gardens about an hour away from me with my Mom. I will be giving my wallet a work out & then after we hit the close gardens I can see about placing a Maryotts order for fall Where oh Where will any of this go???? Haven't a clue Looks like I'm gonna have to do some whittling down and put some things on the LA and give some to friends. I'm trying to corrupt several people at work

I'm running soooooo far behind, so I'll just pick up from yesterday when we returned and go from there.
VAMPIRE'S KISS - We didn't get back until almost 2:00 yesterday and I decided to try for pollen so I picked the flower and plucked off the anthers without thinking of taking a picture first. Oh well, it's still a beauty as far as I'm concerned.
UNIQUE STYLE - This is my FFO on this one, and unfortunately the bloom was tucked down inside the foliage. Sorry for the blurry pictures -- but I love this little dip!
