Regifting the flamingo would be perfect. Many families have such a tradition with a certain particular item. For us it is a little alligator clip that really looks like an alligator. (Yes, there is a story behind it, but I'm not sure I remember it right anymore...)

Another 'green back' African Queen like the ones I have! Somebody had a 'brown back' AQ on here. Who was that? Who's got a nice example of the brown reverse AQ and where did you get it? I'm looking for a couple. Just wondering which North American grower/source has a good run of brown reverse AQ. Send me a Tree Mail in private with suggestions. jmorth, yours has a nicer green about it than mine. Thats key; striveing for the finest example.!

Do you know what ailes these?

Some views from different spots in my yard. Those has been out a lot so far otherwise I think even the drought tolerant lilies might not do well. Supposed to have a good rain last night. I think Ticker got it in Iowa, but by the time it got here there was not much left of it. They say .38 inches, but you'd never know anything happened at all.

JoAnn I wish I were better at specific issues. It seems like a few stems every year look less than stellar here. I use Neem Oil and that seems to help any bug issues or any fungus. It seems to help a lot of things, between that mulch and epsom, that's about all I use here. I'm not a user of big chemicals.
