Opps! I am late to the party. The June thread started without me. Whistling Hilarious!

Ots and lots of gorgeous lilies here but some that really grabbed me are first off Night Flyer. Oh WOW! Increadable! I loved Fire Truck also.

Starlette is another that just gets me. I will have to look for that one.

My own RED ALERT have started blooming here.

Poor Purple Prince. I stepped on him very early--when I was tarping for frost one night last Spring. And he's still trying to make it. I think I'll cut it off tho, right where the leaves stop. Thumb of 2012-06-06/Roosterlorn/955d4d

Hello

Help wanted for lily beetle study

Hope that you have a good gardening season, I was wondering if you have
the lily beetle in your garden?

Institute of Plant Biology Research
Université de Montréal, 4101 Sherbrooke Est
Montréal, Qc, Canada, H1X 2B2

are doing a study (here is part of the text)

To determine the spatial and temporal trajectories of L. lilii America, we want to reap the maximum of specimens to obtain DNA profiles of different populations of the beetle in the invaded area. In doing so, we could then assess the population genetic structure of the Lily Leaf Beetle in America and then determine the number of invasions that took place and possibly the origin of or population (s) invasive (s).

if you have the beetle and have interest in the project
Please contact Alessandro Dieni, Master’s student

[email protected]

He can send all things needed for the collect and a Simple Guide for preserving lily leaf beetle tissue for DNA work

thanks for your help

I met this lily today while I was out walking my dog. Had my camera with me so got a shot. I think they look like they are fully open. Any ideas on what they are>

Lemon Lime trumpet is my tallest by far. At least 8 ft. tall this year.

Better shot of Lemon Sauce.

I agree May have to swing over and see that huge lily. I have a Gluhwein that is getting awfully tall.

Today I have a sea of pink lilies opening ~
