Thanks, Spring.

We've had plenty of rain here too, for a change, so things are doing ok on their own without watering.

Janice I am admiring those tall lillies...I have some new for me "Silk Road" and they are less than 2 feet tall but one has a bloom and it is beautiful...Another has 4 getting ready to bloom. I'm sure looking forward to next year. As soon as I set these out we went back into winter weather after a very warm March...I'm just thankful they made it...Now we are very very dry and am watering enough to keep things going...I hope! BTW what is the name of that lily?

Lovely butterfly and lilies.

Boy SILK ROAD may be only 2 feet tall now but just wait. They like to grow really tall. I think mine are seven feet but the first year they were only about 3 feet tall.

Thanks, Veronica and Rita!

Veronica, it is Silk Road. But only planted last year. That is why it is so short.

Some of mine are 7-8 feet tall. They build up steam every year, like Rita said. Smiling

Janice, that first photo is a stunner! I totally missed the butterfly before I opened it up.

A little added color in my garden... Big Grin

Nope, but there are days when I'd like to give him away! Yesterday he made a (not!) nice big torn up space under the trimmed evergreen to take a dust bath, right in the middle of the baby hostas. From there, he could probably stretch just a bit to nibble on the impatiens.

And happy peacocks scream.

"Ree-Ahh", "Ree-Ahh", "Reeee-Ahhh"!

He likes the acoustics from the top of the bird feeder too, the scream hits that wall of trees along the drive and amplifies the sound. Hilarious!

I hear 'ya Tamara. Drought here too, and temp is 92°. We've only had 0.9" of rain this month. This is not all that unusual for us, but it's normally later, like August, when plants are more established. It's hard to keep annuals moist enough now.
