Some of these are repeats. There is not a whole lot of new ones opening. We are now beyond peak bloom and within 2 weeks most bloom will be over except for a few late bloomers.
What a great picture of MAPPING CAROLINA -- those green throats really pop out at you! I think that's one I just might have to get one of these days. And I love your REMEMBERING MISS MARTHA -- that's just my type of daylily bloom! And your LIGHTHOUSE ROSE BOUQUET looks really wonderful, too. Fantastic pictures of beautiful blooms!
They are beautiful. Nice to see some blooms. We have a few here and there, however, we would have more but we cut all the scapes that don't have pods so the daylilies will put their energy into increasing instead of blooming.
Everyone's photos of Linda Beck are always beautiful. I added that one this year and am very pleased with it. I also love Remembering Miss Martha. I haven't heard of that one before and couldn't find it in the AHS database. Can you give me some information on it?
Debra, Remembering Miss Martha is one I just registered about 2 weeks ago. The AHS probably doesn't have it in the database yet. It is in remembrance of our Pastor's wife Martha who lost her battle with cancer. The plant has a 35" scape with a 5.25 inch flower is very fragrant and reblooms. It is a semi-ev tetraploid that blooms mid season with a 22 bud count. I had to register parentage as unknown because the tags faded so much I couldn't be sure what it was. I am thinking it may be Ed Brown x When Spirits Unite but not entirely sure.
Cindy, can you ship to California yet? A couple of sellers on the Lily Auction who said they couldn't ship to California before now say they can, so I'm wondering if the rules have changed. Would love to purchase a couple of your daylilies if it could ever be worked out.
