Good to know about the parents. Love Priscilla's Smile, and Purple Sombrero,
and of course the really nice babies.

I also believe parents are very important, also don't discount good seedlings for parents sometimes the two seedlings (AKA bridge) will have just the right chemistry to make nice kid.

That is a very lovely baby, Lyle. The white edging simply makes
the entire blossom sparkle, and I love bitones/bicolors too.

I am familiar with 10142. Couldn't forget that one. It is etched into

Thanks for that info Lyle, I acquired Larry's Obsession and Violet Becomes You
this year. They are in quarantine and doing great, no diseases. I bought
these two because of your babies. They are beautiful purples, even if
the seedlings I get from them don't meet the muster. I surely do know this crossing thing
is an odds game. Your babies from these parents are gorgeous.

I got Larry's Obsession this year but it didn't bloom for me.

LARRY'S OBSESSION is not happy in my garden. The first plant I got from you passed away and I replaced it with one from Maryott's more than a year ago that I keep in a pot, and it still hasn't bloomed for me. I seem to have a problem with a lot of the darker ones, but the one that really seems to do well for me is I REMEMBER YOU. And the second COSMIC SENSATION you sent me bloomed also and seems to be doing well, so hopefully it will stay alive too. I would dearly love to see LARRY'S OBSESSION bloom. I wonder if I should fertilize it a lot more than I have been... I'm always afraid to keep fertilizing when it really heats up here in the summer. Do you fertilize with MiracleGro over the summer or anything, Lyle? I put down Osmocote in the spring and then just leave everything alone while it bakes in our scorching heat.
