I have always like the dark ones, and at some point, I may remove that program - I have had a few successes with dark ones, most coming from Fortune’s Dearest, I thank Emmerich uses that one a lot. I have also found Cosmic Sensation to be a very fine parent...
Kinnebrews 2012(Spacecoast Daylilies) has three intros with Cosmic Sensation in their background..

Your darks are amazing, Lyle! And needless to say, I especially love the seedling with the toothy/frilly edges the most -- but I remember that one with that stripe too -- another fantastic seedling of yours!

Lyle your dark program is just beautiful. It is proof it does not take that many, just some good parents to make some great daylilies.

Update on your seedling 9030. The scape it sent up after arrival browned so no bloom. The plant is however doing fantastic. Has 2 more fans and nice and healthy foliage. As you know Song Of The Empire is blooming and still has a few to go. I need to add that it is a large and absolutely stunning bloom and Thank you again.

My Sdl,. Sweet Ole Man x Fringy bloomed today FFE. Rather disappointed but maybe it will get better and even show some teeth. It did have nicer color than I could capture but it was so small.

And you just added even more gorgeous purples!!!

Steph - I am not sure how well Fringy works for the toothy ones, I would recommend Fantastic Fringe x to a good parent for teeth..

Shirlee - I like purples as well, but with hot summers they usually need some special conditions, but well worth it..

This is a dark one that i brought forward in its second season - nice tall scape large bloom and good plant habit - you can tell how tall by lookiing at Maryott's Spiced Custard to the right


Mixed bed, with darks added is always a nice touch...........

Lyle-I have not heard how it does as a toothy parent either. I got the seed a cple years ago on the LA so do not have i hee to make any more crosses. I tried acple times to get Fantastic Fringe but was always outbid or short on cash at the time LOL. May try again.

Steph - Here is a couple of seedlings out Fringy - I didn't get any of the toothy ones i thought it would put out..The seedling you have 9030 is a cross of WHITE MOUNTAIN X FANTASTIC FRINGE - and is proven to take the hard winter conditions...9030 may be registered next year i will let you know if i do so....

I love the yellows too, especially Desert Angel. What a nice name!!!
Still, the purples are so very nice. The pod setter jumped out at me
in the first batch of photos. Very dimensional ones will do that.

Enormous difference in the edge on the 2 and what they are passing down. It would be in my best interest to use your seedling a lot since I love it anyway and that just makes the deal sweeter. Let me know when and if you reg. it and I wil change the tag so everyone will know. It sure impressed me.

Steph, James Hall (Mljomo) has two FANTASTIC FRINGE in his auction right now. It took me a long time to get it too, and it put up a little scape right after I potted it up -- and the first pollen I put on it took!
