Steph - SOTE looks great! I wish you a lot of success with it in your hybridizing efforts,

Debra -Debra, I no longer hybridize for pinks, though I won’t compost a nice pink either.
Pink Aloha- is a nice daylily with London Calling in the background another good parent, with offspring’s like Memphis, Great Goolsby, Sugar Glider, Across The Universe
The seedling that Betty requested is a nice pink to work with, when you break down the parentage the seedling has a rich background and I wouldn’t hesitate using it in a pink program..

Unknown x unknown----Peppermint Pinwheel (this is the daylily that you would get the bi-tone from)
Florida Snow Angel × Blue Pink Beauty)—Pink Aloha
(London Calling × sdlg)—Across The Universe
SOMETHING WONDERFUL X ELIZABETH'S DREAM ---Ed Brown

some kids from Peppermint Pinwheel x Pink Aloha -

I love Pink Daylilies, yours are very beautiful. Thumbs up

Thanks Shirlee! I have one more season with Talladega and then i will move on, but it has given me some nice seedlings. I still have not found a red that can compare with Hearts of Fire for hardiness and color fastness in the heat.

Rudy - Thanks for posting the number of the instant rebloom seedling #10140 .

Susan - I hope you enjoy your new daylilies, make sure you post photos when they bloom..

Thanks Shannon!

Thanks Cindy!

Thanks Margaret – When seedling #3 first bloomed I thought it was going to bloom ENE (edge no eye) but the eye became more prominent on rebloom.

Steph – Rudy will grow the seedling out the rest of this season and then I will make a decision next spring..I will let you know or you can remind Rudy…

Betty – I am glad to hear your seedling is doing well. The above seedling you requested is also a very good grower, and the plant habit is awesome even with my heat, I think if you do an F2 you could get some amazing seedlings with the two, given the parentage in their backgrounds..

Steph - The seedling i was talking about, is a PEPPERMINT PINWHEEL X PINK ALOHA cross, Betty also has a bridge plant that dose have good ruffling, I'm sure she will chime in.

Nice double bloom today courtesy of ACROSS THE GALAXY

I don't usually care that much for doubles, but Lyle that one is a beauty -- great color and form, and I especially love that toothy little fringe!

Thanks for the comments!

Still a few late blooming seedlings, due to the heat they don't show as well, as spring or early summer blooms, but i always welcome blooms anytime.
