@avedon, I received a double fan of Kathy Perkins as a bonus plant from Ginny Pearce in 2016 and really like it. The pictures you posted here are from my garden and I absolutely love KP! It has multiplied to 10 fans and the color is as it looks in the pictures. As with a lot of daylilies, the sun does cause the color to fade some by evening. I love every one of the plants that I got from Ginny Pearce that year along with KP. My Wish Tonight (nice white midribs against that dark purple), Sailor Sky (intense color!), and Flutterfest (multiple blooms at one time!) are all great daylilies.

Kathy Perkins is not an early morning opener, so I took advantage of getting this picture before I went to work one day last year.


I don't have any new daylilies to add to my list yet, the list would be very small indeed. Trying to downsize, so am being very particular about adding new ones. Very difficult to do!

Thanks for starting this thread, Marcia! Love all the additions everyone is sharing! Can't wait to see their blooms from these new additions next year. I also add a few (well, maybe more than a few ) and hope for blooms next summer.

That's all I've ordered for spring so far, but Guy and Karen Pierce at Floyd Cove Nursery have recently registered 40 new introductions; and you can view the thumbnail pics if you go to the AHS Database, select "Advanced Search", then search on the hybridizer Pierce-G and select the year 2019. There are 47 there, seven of which were introduced in Spring 2019. But the other 40 are all their new ones -- to die for! Hopefully they'll be posting them in the next month or so, and I believe they are going to mail a catalog to their current customers. Oh boy -- and there are about ten that I'm interested in just from the pictures, although I certainly cannot order that many...

Karen, Kryptonite and Irish Thunder really caught my eye, but those seedlings are awesome. Those are something to really be proud of!

Vicky, those seedlings are not grown by me! But i hope i can make some nice seedlings from hybridizing with them! That's why I am so excited! It was very generous and kind of Kidfishing and a nice friend on here offer me their seedlings for use in hybridizing and growing in my garden. The seedlings are so gorgeous - can't wait to see their blooms in my garden.
