Whatever happened to our monthly raffles?

I was wondering that the other day, but I think the Whitinger family might have been a tad busy having a baby....

Yes, I was planning on hosting my own raffle in July but life got in the way. I need to start thinking about something for August.

Does anybody have any specific requests that they'd like to see for upcoming raffles? I'd love to hear your ideas!

How about a raffle for acorns? Acorns used to buy tickets for a big acorn award.

Or a great gardening tool --- nice quality.

Gift certificates are always nice. They could be to places that sell plants online or seeds online.

If I remember correctly, it takes 500,000 acorns for a car but I think that was 2011. Might be 800,000 this year

I think she's saving up for a Jaguar, and those are 1,000,000 acorns....

You know, I am adding images from other nurseries and if I add multiple images in the same entry, I only get the one acorn for the first image so I don't have as many as you all think I have! Not even for a Yugo.

Don't you get one for a bloom, one for whole plant, one for roots, one for stems, one for leaves, etc? I thought it was one acorn for "type" of picture, not one per plant. I know if I add more than one bloom, I only get an acorn for the first one, which is fine. I still like to see pictures taken in different years, or different stages of maturity.
