Jan, the deer didn't bother my really old daylilies at all either.
They just want the newer ones that I don't want to share with them.

I just found out over the weekend that the daylilies I sent up to RI All had a deer haircut
The deer somehow got into the grenhouse they are in

LILTING BELLE is still blooming, along with MAPPING PENNSYLVANIA and NORTHWIND DANCER

I am a newcomer to this site, but I certainly enjoy reading all the posts. I have a number of late blooming daylilies, most of which of older, since I only got interested in daylilies in a serious way last year. However, this time of year, I think pretty flowers are welcome, whether they are new or old. The first is Starstruck.







A pretty clump of Buttered Popcorn, which is doing great for us this year.











Beautiful Edgings--brand new for us this year, and already outstanding. This one scape has produced 45 buds on rebloom.




Leebea Orange Crush--surprise rebloom scape,






Final Touch--small flower, but this plant put up three rebloom scapes and in August.





So Lovely--This is a FFO on the first scape of a proliferation rooted a couple of years ago.






Jellyroll Truffle--a big beautiful double the first week of August.






Smoky Mountain Autumn blooming on a three year old proliferation.

Dublin Elaine--only grow a few doubles and this one is the best. This is the latest it has put up a rebloom scape.





This is a NOID we call Single Somebody. It was passed along to us as Double Donnie--wrong plant of course--but we love it no matter what it is.

I enjoyed all your photos, Avedon. I agree that every bloom we get this time of year is wonderful. I also grow Dublin Elaine and it is really nice daylily. I don't usually grow doubles, but I have had this one for many years and I still like it.

Avadon, how big are the flowers on that noid single somebody, it sure looks similar to one I bought this spring, 'Electric', 6" flower, it is not as yellow as the photo, I was very annoyed at my camera, I tried different lighting, settings, nothing worked.

Gorgeous colors, Cindy. I have Lilting Belle, but have never seen a bloom
as pretty as yours to photograph. Mine are always rather pale.

Avedon. You have come to the perfect place to begin your
daylily addiction, er, I mean journey. And your flowers are soooo lovely.

Margaret, I don't believe Single Somebody's flowers are that big, I will try to get a measurement. We truly have no info on this plant. It was purchased a number of years ago at Jack Carpenter's Lily Farm in Center, TX, along with several others including Double Donnie. This is where the mix-up comes in, but unfortunately, the buyers can't remember anything about this one. I thought it might be one of Carpenter's seedlings that he sells, but he also sells named hybrids from other people, so we may never know what it is. It took three years to get a grip here, but now it is doing beautifully. We are impressed by the fact that it has put up four scapes this late, and it is now producing another scape. We love the color, that pale lemon-lime, and as I said, we don't care about the "real" name. Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

My Buttered Popcorn bloomed in July. I love it, but it was pretty whimpy blooms this year, probably because of the weather.

I just love my Lilting Bell - and I am not partial to pinks, yet that is what is still blooming here. The later flowers looked much prettier than the earlier ones this year.

No pictures - still have a few blooms but not home during the daylight to enjoy them this week. Hopefully some will still be blooming next week for me.~Jan
