I have a few more late ones to show that haven't been posted.

I call this "Mom's Seedling"--it was bought from J. Carpenter several years ago. It is one of our best performers. Lots of proliferations which my husband has rooted, so we have lots of these, and right now most of them are putting up rebloom scapes.

Thumb of 2012-08-17/Avedon/397bf6

This is a child of the above dl--I call it "Jean's Joyful Noise" named for my sister. It has the same plant habit as "Mom's Seedling", lot of proliferations, so I think we have over a dozen of these scattered around. It has more of a peach color, while "Mom" is pinky-lavender. These are also putting up rebloom scapes now.

Thumb of 2012-08-17/Avedon/300336

This is an unnamed yellow seedling,, am debating about its future here--to keep, or not to keep, that is the question.

Thumb of 2012-08-17/Avedon/81b99c

Bodacious Returns--by a Dutch Hybridizer Heemskerk--sure hope I got this right-therefore, not registered with AHS,,,The description is Stella d 'Or on steroids, and that's probably just about right. This one has scapes about 22" but puts out really large flowers.

I may have a few more, but now duty call--it's lunch time!!

Only daylily blooming in my yard at this time this year is Margo Reed's AFTER AWHILE CROCODILE. I was actually shocked to see a bloom when I was walking through the garden trying to decide which daylilies could be donated to our club sale--trying to find ones with some green foliage that I'm willing to give up to make room for all the new acquisitions sitting in pots waiting for a more permanent home.....

Here are a few pics of some late blooming daylilies here.

BROOKWOOD IMPECCABLE is a really lovely heavily blooming late.

ENOLA GAY by Curt Hanson is a really bright glowing color that's hard to describe

TACO TWISTER is a favorite later blooming UF

Most years I've got lots of later blooming daylilies but everything this year was either early or fried.....

Chicago Apache - super nice red, looks much better in person

My Chicago Apache was totally done by early July, if not sooner. But we've had weird weather this year.

A couple months ago, our club prez brought in some NOIDs -- they were named plants, but the markers had faded, so she had no idea what they were. I planted them in one of my new beds in late June, on the NOID side of the yard. Looked out this morning, and one of them had bloomed while I was away from home all week. Several buds still on it, and at least 2 scapes. I'll be away from home all of this week too, Sun night to Fri, but i"m hoping some of those buds won't bloom until next weekend

No clue what she is, but I think she's purty Thumbs up

Cool! It's one of those that Patty brought to meeting -- they were MARS plants last year, maybe? Or something. Anyway, they had unreadable markers in the pots.

Just went outside at 7:00 p.m. and guess what I found--a rebloom on Siloam Double Classic. Beautiful Edgings is still going with lots more buds and I found rebloom scapes on Wild Horses, Persian Market, Welcome Mat, and Northfield. Looks like DL season will go on for awhile here.

That was my clump of Chicago Apache, which finished blooming a couple of days ago. It got a really late start this year, and was the last one to bloom. I thought it was finished a week ago, but noticed more blooms on it. I'm positive that it wasn't rebloom. I sure did appreciate it this year, putting on a fantastic show when everything else was done and over with!

Avedon, how nice that you are getting another scape on Wild Horses! It's one of my favorites, but I only had three or four blooms on it this year, and it didn't bother to bloom last year. I also have Persian Market, and love that one also. I bought a double fan of Wild Horses two years ago, and I still only have two fans. Does it increase well for you? I sure wish it would for me. I'd love to have about 50 fans of it!

Hi Natalie, Wild Horses has been a major disappointment for us. It has been here 3 years and only has two fans. Sad This season it only put up one scape--the flowers are beautiful, but there are so few. Therefore, it was a big surprise to go out and find a scape on it now---go figure. I do have some more photos to post, some of these flowers have been seen before, but I think they are worth looking at again.

NOID Dip--this was a passalong, came from J. Carpenter's Lily Farm. I call it "Bold Tiger Lookalike" (although Bold Tiger is a tet) The petals are a little more orange than the camera shows.

Final Touch--much deeper in color with cooler temps and overcast sky.

Leebea Orange Crush again, much deeper color because of cooler weather

Beautiful Edgings--couldn't resist posting this shot-it just looked like it was posing for the camera
