I have Born to Run and Gary Colby sending up scapes, but we are
having cool nights now so don't know it they will bloom. However,
Prissy Girl has been blooming. This photo is a few days old, I seem
to have lost the one from two days ago. It must still be on the camera.

There are a few still blooming---Beautiful Edgings, Final Touch, and Leebea Orange Crush, but I wanted to post Wild Horses. Such a strange year, and I never thought this daylily would rebloom, certainly not this late.

I had one bloom correctly today. Surprised me to no end.
It's prettier than the photo. The color was more intense
outside.

Avedon, thanks for the picture of Wild Horses. I'm madly in love with that one! Mine barely bloomed this year, and I was so disappointed!

Natalie, ngraham--Nancy-- on the Gardenweb Daylily Forum had a beautiful clump shot of Wild Horses. I looked it up to tell you, and guess what? The picture has been removed. Crying She was replying to a thread I had started. The photograph is not in a Photobucket public album so we can't see it unless we have a password. Anyway, she says hers didn't do much until the third year, still not a lot of blooms at that time, but the plant increased quickly. Now she has lots of blooms, lucky person!! I have tried to find some clump shots of Wild Horses on the web, but haven't had much luck. There is another thread on the GWDaylily Forum titled WILD HORSES--Is It Slow For You, etc. You might want to read that one, and there is a clump shot with that one--it is dated April 17, 2009.

Surprised to see this one put up a scape so late in the season.
It had two blooms, but the photo was taken before the second
one bloomed out fully. Looks a bit ratty with the thrip damage.
Without that, it would have been the best bloom of the season
for this particular cultivar.

Gary Colby bloomed 7.5 in. this time.

Shirlee, I am amazed by the rebloom we have been having this year. I continue to see young scapes on quite a few daylilies. I have never seen this before, especially this late in the season. The scapes don't always have the best bud count (guess they are tired from trying to grow in the heat and drought). but I really enjoy these few blooms. Your bloom on GC is really nice. Its form is so distinctive.
