Sandra Elizabeth is a pretty yellow late bloomer, don't know about daughters. I did want to post a pic of Final Touch as a poly. This pic taken 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Big surprise to me, never thought about a poly on such a small plant.

It's been great seeing everyone's late blooming daylilies! Especially since I didn't really have a late season this year due to the early start and the drought. So, I looked back to 2009 when I had quite a few daylilies blooming in August. Here are a few of those blooms:

Avedon, Great photos! Love the poly on Final Touch! Wish mine would do that! I appreciate the info about your Wild Horses too. I thought it was just me. I had the same thing happen with the two fans. Just one got a scape, and very few blooms. I really wish it wasn't one of my favorites because I'd toss it if it wasn't so pretty. I think maybe I'll move it and see if that helps. It's either not happy where it is, or isn't happy at all.

Ann, you've got some beautiful blooms too!

With the exception of repeaters like Rosy Returns and Happy Returns, this is the very last daylily I'll probably get this year. It's not the greatest bloom, but it's the last.

Your SKINWALKER is gorgeous. The blooms on mine had a hard time in my garden this summer and the petals just sort of hung there and didn't look attractive at all. But yours is fantastic!

If anyone is wanting to add Skinwalker, a Stout Medal winner, to your garden, Richard Del Ammons of N. Carolina (rootman on the Lily Auction) is selling his entire daylily inventory. The 2012 Eureka Guide lists the average DF price of Skinwalker as $20.20. Richard is selling a DF for $9. His inventory shows a large number of DFs still available. He is also selling some good daylilies for $1 a fan. We are buying some of these good deals for future daylily club sales. We have "won" daylilies from Richard for two years and have been pleased with what we have received. If anyone is interested in his contact information and a list of his inventory, send me a T-mail. We have no connection to Richard and are not profiting from this sale in any way. Just want to let others know about this good deal and help Richard at the same time.
