There will be many more tomatoes next year than there were this year. And there were plenty this year. But what with expanding the "old" tomato garden from the 12 plants I have there now to room for 20 plants next year and also having Tower Square as a veggie garden after moving out the Tall Bearded Iris, giving me room for another ten more, well that adds lots of space. Plus that does not count the spots I have picked out for those 8 of the New Dwarf plants that I will be growing. So LOTS of tomato plants next year. Tomato crazies have gone totally out of control crazy.! nodding Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Some of these tomato plants I have this year are really, really ratty looking. Can't believe last year I did not have to spray at all with the Daconil Fungicide. This year had to spray all season to try and keep ahead of the fungus deseases. Oh well. I should not be compaining as my tomato harvest has been fabulous. Has really slowed down lately so I just fed them with the BLOOM BOSTER to try and get them flowering more again.

Rita, my neighbor called last night - the one who has the monster sized veggies from using the kelp spray - and I just happened to be on the Burpee site at the time. She said yes, it was Sea Magic, not Ocean something, like she had thought. I told her that I was putting in an order for it right then, and she said she has a big order to put in too, so she's adding the Sea Magic to her order to save on shipping. It's on sale too, which is great! It's usually $7.95 for a packet that makes 60 gallons, and the sale price is $5.75. I'm so excited about getting it after hearing about your results in using something similar. After seeing the size of her Roma tomatoes (about 6 inches long, or longer, and no splitting!), I have to try it myself! I've decided to add a few more varieties of tomatoes next year too, thanks to you, but I'm not going to get your crazies! I swear, I'm not! Whistling Hilarious!

Oh, I hope you get the really great results on your veggies that your neighbor does on hers. I bet that you will!

Ha, a likely story about your not getting the tomato crazies. Hilarious! Whistling You just wait until I am talking about all my new tomato varieties next year. You will be wishing you had them too! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling my eyes.

I have blue and red salvias. The two colors of salvia really look nice blooming together.

Rita, I am not going to get the tomato crazies! I swear that I'm not! Rolling on the floor laughing Okay, maybe just a little bit, but not totally crazy! I'm going to get the gourd crazies instead! My neighbor with the amazing garden, thanks to the kelp fertilizer, is growing birdhouse gourds, and I'm in love with them! I'll probably toss out the gourds when they are done growing, or I'll give them away, but the vines are amazing! I want to build one of these over my daylily bed that is in full sun. I can stand up under it, though my head touched the wire today from the weight of the gourds making the wire hang down some.

I'm totally going for it! I'm trying to talk my husband into letting me cover the entire backyard! It's not going so well. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I am going to try to make a walkway around my flower bed out front that is in the middle of my lawn. I call it my crop circle. I want to have this on one end of it, where you would walk through it like a tunnel. I want another one over the daylilies out back that bake half to death every year. This will give them some nice filtered sun! I'm really excited about it!

Today I picked lots and lots of cherry tomatoes and then I nice batch of the Vivia Italia Paste ones. I think I will freeze some of the Vivia Italias. In fact I just looked up a crockpot receipe for stewed tomatoes and I think I will make that later as It is simple and easy.

I was just going to ask what you are going to do with all those tomatoes Rita! Sounds like you have a plan. Love your salvia pictures. I love blue!

Natalie, I love your gourd pictures. Everything looks so lush and green!
