I gave away the cherry tomatoes to my neighbior and cooked those others. The stewed tomatoes turned out great. Much better than canned. I will freeze them.

Vickie, Those are from my friends house around the corner from me. I wish my yard looked that lush and green! I can't wait until next year so that I can plant my own! DH is busy trying to come up with a plan on putting them in the front yard. We want to make something like my friend made for hers, only taller, so that we can walk under it up to the house. Like a covered walkway, i guess. I keep forgetting that my Mom has a huge yard, so I'm going to try growing some huge gourds over there. The huge ones are HUGE, and need to grow on the ground. I just don't have the room for something that big!

New gardening projects are always fun to think about and plan. I love the whole process as much as enjoying it when it's finished. Have fun Smiling

I don't really enjoy the planning part. Usually because when I see it finished, I always think, "What was I thinking???"

About 3 or 4 years ago, I dug up a bunch of plants to give to the guy two doors down, who had just bought the house. It was his first home purchase, and he was so excited about seeing all the flowers in my yard. He wanted his yard to look nice, and I had plenty to share. So, I hauled the plants over, and he insisted that I had to show him where to plant them. I grabbed a plant, closed my eyes, and tossed it into the flower bed. I told him that this was how I did it at home. Wherever it landed is where it got planted! It was a bit of a stretch, but not by much! He recently got married, and all of us neighbors bought them some more plants as a wedding gift. I told them that they were on their own when it came to tossing them into the garden!

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing It works well for me! It looks horrible when I'm done, but that's okay. Nothing stays put for long, and then I have another plant throwing adventure! I'll eventually get it right! Hilarious!

Actually, when I initially planted daffodils, that is how
I chose a spot for them. Give them a sling, and where
they land is the spot to dig. Green Grin!

Honestly, I have to very carefully plan out my gardens or it just doesn't work. Even for my bulbs! Natalies methods would never work around here. Hilarious!
