Marking my place here also. I hope to have nothing to contribute in that sense, but I can offer support and opinions.

I'll be here, too. I do have much hope for this year, however. A little variation on the One Day At A Time some people talk about. I'll just say One Day At A Time and One Year At A Time also. One thing that makes me feel better is to look through all the seeds I've ordered and the lists of plants I need to plant. Because there is nothing worse than the bare caliche and gravel pad our new mobile home is on and the bare slopes elsewhere on the property. Must have plants growing. Already some grass is going...fresh green grasses, maybe some forbs also, not sure just yet. Even allowed myself to think about planting two roses. Now, somebody said to dig up 3 feet of caliche and rock and put in topsoil to replace it. Not sure I can dig up that much with my bad back!

Hopefully this year I will get a stiff backbone and say no when the dude down the road has a negative balance on his elec and asks for money. Was one thing when work was needed but for now I'm done and yet he still asks...it's hard since it's no fun being without power. But he's a grown man with a family and needs to get his stuff together.

Ive got a couple people like that and I feel trapped, its awful. Hope we can both buck up.

Never had a deer raid mine but have had horses and a pig come to dine. Lol

Yep! Deer will return any time there's bird feeders out! In winter, they come less often. One reason we need to replace the fences. Right now we pretty much have the fence in front and one space in back of the big shed is mostly enclosed. My Texas Mulberry is there...hmm, do I want another one? Maybe.

I just got the most horrible paper straw from burger king, it feels as big around about as a garden hose. Another place to cross off the list.

Grumpy because Fred, the guy who has done work for me borrowed another $40.00 on New Years Eve as his elec account was once again in the negative subject to cut off. He now owes me $120.00. Said he'd pay it all back on Friday when his wife got her check but would need a ride by to the Pig...closest ATM. I let him know when I was headed out...nada. Well here it is Sunday afternoon and nothing from him...NADA..no money and no text. It's not even so much the money (although it would be nice to have it) but the very least he could have done is contact me.😡😡😡

I hope your just as unavailavle next time he tries to borrow more cash.

I called and got an appointment with my gastroenterologist for Thursday. I've lost too much weight and my stomach is just not doing well. Time to get checked out!

Reminds me of a saying in Arabic. Last time it was an infection in my small intestine. Lots of tests to get to that diagnosis...and antibiotics.
