Pushing any plant (including lilies) to grow faster than what would normally be expected isn't necessarily a good thing. Fast growth is often more vulnerable to insects and diseases, for instance. Just because a plant looks better to us humans, doesn't always mean it's more healthy.
I often use my neighbor's lush green lawn as a uniform background for pics.
As opposed to my lawn, with sticks, leaves various weeds, etc.
My neighbor pushes his lawn, and it is indeed what most people here in the USA covet as beautiful. But how healthy is it? I can only say that multiple times, he has had lawn diseases that creep up to my property line and then stop. He needs to treat for diseases, but my lawn is naturally resistant.
