Marilyn, it may be an annual in your zone. Tag said good to zone 6, maybe with mulch.

It would be OK as an annual ... many things are if I put them in containers due to our freeze and thaw cycles.

It is not unusual for us to be below freezing for a week then thaw out to 40s or even 50s .. then freeze again. This goes on till the middle of May.
