I had several new blooms to open in the seedling beds this morning.
These first three are the first 2017 seedlings this year to bloom. I did not even look up the crosses. I have three beds of 2017 seedlings and that year the critters just dug up labels and scattered plants and made a mess of everything in those three beds. So even though I did record the locations, I did not have the locations in my PlantStep program, so unless something in those three beds really stands out I don't plant to go to the trouble of finding the cross. Even as poor as the blooms are, they do add to the garden when I walk down in the morning.
Now here is the bloom this morning on my best seedling ever so far. 'Collard Dream' x 'Fire on the Mountain'. A pretty bloom, with a nice tall scape with good branching and bud count.
I found this bloom very interesting, it was an odd color the camera could not capture and it appealed to me in a strange way.
I had quite a few other seedlings blooming but they were mostly just yellows with no outstanding features so far.
