Porkpal! Hurray! Where have you been all day? I was starting to worry.

This has been such a weird day. The last few days have been full of flurry, getting ready for the move, and today has been so quiet and strangely anticlimactic -- like the day after Christmas.

PPal - I wish I could. Seriously. We've recorded over 5.56" of rain in the past 7 days in some parts of the city. We've got a wicked wild thunderstorm raging around me as I type this and we've already accumulated over an inch just tonight. And there's more on the way. Looks like all the snow we were supposed to get this past winter is arriving all at once as rain. The poor bastards who lost their homes in the fires are now being flooded...

Here's a snapshot of our weather right now.

and there's a chance for even worse weather tomorrow as it's gonna get hot (near 90), and then the storms will roll off the mountains in the late afternoon/early evening and pummel the crap outta town again.

I think I will be developing blackspot probably.

Yea, but all my roses have grown a good 6" in the past week, too! I'm hoping that it'll hold off enough tonight so I can work a little in the back yard.. it usually rolls in just as I get off work & I just am fussy & not gonna be deadheading in a lightning storm. Whistling Whistling Whistling Last night, I decided to call it quits on the computer & whatnot when lightning struck a house 2 houses over from me.. made my hair stand on end and had that nasty penny-in-the-mouth taste.

of course, it's also making the weeds grow like, well, weeds! I have a strip in my front yard that has weed fabric down, then rock on top of it. I just yanked all the weeds out of it on Saturday morning.. and this morning it looked like I could have hunted gazelles in it! The "dog area" of the back yard.. I'm expecting the trumpeting of elephants from that area.

EDIT: Damn, the areas near Boulder where the fires were earlier this year just keep getting bad things happening to them! Poor bastards..
