On the subject of teeth.

Snails have the most teeth of any animal

Snails teeth are not like regular teeth. A snail's teeth are arranged in rows on its tongue. A garden snail has about 14,000 teeth while other species can have over 20,000. But that's not even the most shocking part: The teeth of an aquatic snail called the limpet are the strongest known biological material on Earth, even stronger than titanium!

Sally, I have two Nigerian Dwarf wethers (castrated males) that are as sweet as can be. Strictly pets and oh so much fun to watch!

I also love mini-goats. I don't own any, but I really do want some!

They are pretty easy to keep Kim, and another interesting fact about them is they can live on just hay and nothing else if they have to. I give mine a variety of treats but hey is their main diet.

My husband is also thinking of getting some cattle. Great meat, and we won't have to buy milk either. They're harder to keep than goats, right?

Kim from what I read yes cattle are harder than goats.
Goats can give meat and milk on a smaller scale. Easier on the budget for feed and housing.
Ours are pets so they are easy. No milking or slaughtering.

Ok, thanks. Thank You!

Here are two for today:
Young Frigate birds will use their own feathers to practice for when the time comes to hunt. They'll drop their feathers and practice catching them midair.

In Texas, certain screech owls have been known to place blind snakes in their nests. The snake will be harmless to the owlets, but will act as a maid and keep the nest clean.

I raised registered Alpine dairy goats for a number of years. Before that we had Angus cattle for beef and Jersey cows of milk.

We switched to dairy goats when our space was limited. As much as I loved our Jerseys, I would never go back to cows for milk products. The goats are much easier to house, need less space, cost compared to output is much cheaper with goats. Ours mostly had twins every year, those that were not being kept for the breeding program were slaughtered at about 5 to 8 months for meat. Best meat ever.
We made our own cheese, butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, etc. You have to use a cream separator to get the cream, goat milk is naturally homogenized.
If healthy and fed properly, the does(females) do not run with the buck(male), the milk will have no odd flavor or smell. You won't be able to tell it is not cows milk.
Here is one our Champions from our breeding.

Yea, like how do they know they are blind. And how do they keep the snakes from slithering away. More over...why dont they eat them, they love snakes.
Birds radar I assume is a bit different than other animals that smell. I watch the live southwest fl eagle cam every year. Year before last they brought a steak back to the nest off a grill, and last year they brought a stuffed squirrel to the nest. They actually tried to eat that stuffed toy which shocked me. I guess they go by sight only, not smell. Im gunna have to get out of the ocean and into the sky to learn some more fun things

Wow, blind snakes? Is it a specific kind of snake? I looked it up.
"Do blind snakes live underground?
These snakes live underground in ant and termite nests. They are also found under logs, moist leaves, stones and humus in wet forest, dry jungle, abandoned buildings and even city gardens. The distribution and survival of this group of blind snakes directly reflect soil humidity and temperature."

It didn't say what type. Shrug!

I assume they would be smaller snakes like garter snakes.

Ah, ok. Thanks!

Here's another one:
Polar bears actually have black skin and colorless hair. The hairs are hollow tubes, and when light shines in them, it spreads throughout their fur, giving the bear a white look.

Oh my goodness wow, Bob! I did not know that!

Here's one:
The Jaguar's jaws are the most powerful in the entire cat (wild and domestic) family. They fight and break through the skin of alligators, so it's no surprise.

There was also this one shark, I forget if it was called the Zimbabwe shark or something, but it has the most powerful jaws out of all sharks. It's also the most aggressive shark known to man. It will attack at first sight. They can crush sea turtles' shells in one bite, and they fight a lot of crocodiles I think it was in the summer (maybe fall), when the crocs migrate out to sea.

downright bizarre

"There are just three exceptions that we know of: humans, short-finned pilot whales, and killer whales. In all three species, females lose the ability to have children, but continue living for decades after. That's menopause. " source- National Geographic and BBC
