Well, I just checked my newer seedling bed, and still no scapes -- bummer! I usually never fertilize once it really warms up here, but I've decided to lightly fertilize them for a few weeks in case one or more of them might throw up a scape... probably not a good idea in our heat, but I'm desperate to see something new... Sad

I think my best seedling to date is this one:
RUFFLED PINK PERFECTION x WONDER OF IT ALL
Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/fa2f0b
And she's fertile! Hurray!

And I would say the next one I'm pretty excited about is:
SILOAM GOLIATH x ROSE F. KENNEDY
Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/15f56f Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/186434
It's also my avatar picture

And a toothy... GOD SAVE THE QUEEN x CASPER'S REVENGE
Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/e30d61 Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/4e33d8

And so far I really like this one too:
MAZIE FARR x ICICLES
Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/05c274

And I've kept this one around for a few years now and it really looked good to me this year: BLUE HIPPO x XYLOPHONE JAZZ
Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/09d70a Thumb of 2020-07-08/Betja/0f83a4

Actually, all these have already bloomed out so they're not July blooms, now that I think of it...

I too love the first one! But all the others are nice too. Pink is one of my favorite color - even nicer when there are big ruffles edging it.

Love the pink, David!

After last night's torrential 5 minute rain, three seedlings opened this morning.

The first two are seeds from Daniel (thank you, Daniel!)

Velvet Ribbons x Core Values

(this one looks like it will take after its pod parent and be a small plant and flower)

Thanks Karen, Daniel and Valerie! I didn't realize they are almost all pink until you mentioned it, Karen. D'Oh! But I really am drawn to the pinks...

Everyone else has such beautiful seedling blooms, and I really like the ones you just posted this morning, Valerie -- the first two are real eye catchers!

Wow fantastic seedlings David, Valerie, Gerry, and Steve Hurray!
Val I'm So happy you are pleased with the seeds I sent you but that double edge and blue eye on your Celtic Butterfly x Linda Sierra cross steals the show. Great job Thumbs up
Steve I'm really digging PAD x CP but I also like the sepels on the 2nd one. I love where you headed with the stripes and can't wait to see what all you end up with. You made your own lane with the stripes and I'm so happy for you, I just hope you don't stop doing watermarks because we all adore your watermarks Lovey dubby

I agree fantastic seedlings from everybody, today!

Gerry, love this seedling of yours, Jurassic Pink X Shimmering Dawn! The ruffles are so gorgeous and hopefully it's a keeper in your book.

Velvet Ribbons x Core Values seedling is my favorite! Really like that form and striking eye. The very blue eye on Celtic Butterfly x Linda Sierra is super nice too.

Steve, what can I say! You are the master of stripes! Thumbs up Thumbs up

All of those are nice, but the first one is my favorite. It's got the look of the pinks I crave. I love the shade of pink, and the cream/white edge!

Valerie - I like all three of those! It was interesting to see what you got from Core Values. I have a lot of seeds I haven't planted with that as a parent. Your results make me want to start some of those seeds!

This one I made a keeper last year as a good landscape plant. 7"/34". Transplanted it last fall to a location by the house and happy to see it is happily blooming!
