OK- Ive heard legends of the "black Regale', then one lands on me"! This is lilium Regale, but Im sure If I hit Pardster/PK/or Tracey with it , It would be rejected!! I had some seedlings from the same cross: pink trumpet x L. rosthornii. Many of them had exiting flowers with strong fragrance. This one was my favourite and have been moved to a new place.

I am really surprised at the dominance of the trumpet genes in the trumpet x rosthornii cross. I would love to see more examples, however mundane. The F2 generation should show some interesting combinations.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Very busy time here. We host our very large family get together with friends here each year on Christmas Day, upwards of 130 to 150 people usually attend and everyone, young and old, has a glorious wonderful old fashioned Christmas! It's something we've done here for many years. Lots of work and little sleep-- but enjoyable!

Thanks everyone for 'putting up' with me over the past year. I have enjoyed every one of you and loved every minute and post in here!
