Bill, I love that counting backwards idea! In two months I will turn 73 but I think I will transpose that number and say I'm 37. I remember my mother quite often saying: "If only I were 30 and knew then, what I know now!"

~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot!

To ensure that you have cardinals; hang out a feeder that has black oil sunflower seed in it. Then look for them at the feeder at dawn and dusk. If you're looking at the feeder in the middle of the day you won't see them. At least that's the way we see them around here. I do see them during the middle of the day, but they are usually high up in the trees and I have to track them by their calls and songs. Works well in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees; not so well in the spring, summer and fall!
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcomes and encouragement. It is appreciated that photo quality isn't judged so much, rather than, "just being at the right place, at the right time"....

Black Phoebe.....hard to get a good pic....won't sit still....LOL
And they love to eat when it's raining. Look for them then. Crazy birds, only bird I know of who can be counted on to show up at the feeders when it's raining & they chirp as they eat.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
