I've had 2 fans close to 3 yrs and then added 2 more. For me, in 7A, it only has about half the registered bud count, it's never been an EMO here, and the scape height is around 26" But, I love the colors and am thinking of moving Shimmer Down or El Shaddai next to it.

Thumbs up sounds good. I was not too interested in blues last year but I did get several as bonus plants and I do like them,, they are different. Last year I got ' Bluegrass Memories ' from Maryott's as a bonus but so far it has not bloomed. Shrug!

BLUEGRASS MEMORIES is a real beauty! Susan, I think our taste in daylilies is pretty similar because we always seem to be looking at/getting the same ones -- and I love BLUE BEAT and now think I'll have to get it too, although probably not until next year.

I got Bluegrass Memories this year as a special bonus. I do not think it will bloom this year but I am so excited to see the bloom. BM was why I ordeted when I did. Glad to hear the rave reviews Smiling

I made an on line purchase at the Maryott's website yesterday. I didn't receive any kind of return e-mail indicating that the order went through, although it seemed complete on the website. Do they ususally confirm via e-mail after an order has been made? I called them but got voice mail. I left a number to return the call, but that hasn't happened either. Just wondering what their MO was. Thanks for your help.

Hi Tom and welcome, No confirmation is sent. as I don't think his system is set up for it. But he does email a "thank you for your order" which I think he sends out by date of orders received.

Whenever you place an order, write the ship date you want and current special in the comments box on checkout page. You will be able to tell when your order has shipped by checking your credit or debit card as he doesn't charge until shipped, which I believe is always on Mondays. I would still email him just to make sure he knows which special you want. And whatever you do, please share your photos of your blooms with us.

Welcome to ATP!! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

I just got Huckelberry Yogurt by the skin of my teeth. I put in an order Friday morning and by Friday evening it had changed to a brown flower. Now it is only Tuesday and it is changing again? Hummmmm. Blinking

Bill, has not listed any information about cold hardiness but if you call him or email him he will let you know if he has gotten any reports. There is at least one person here who has BBB and lives in zone 5.

Hi Gerry!

Welcome!

A certain someone pointed my attention to this thread. I'm just a bit west of you and I added BBB last year. It made it through this past winter just fine and put up 2 scapes this year. The fans are on the smaller side but they seem healthy and they continue to grow. For what it is worthy they were smaller when they arrived (Bill let me know this prior to shipping as he actually delayed shipping twice to let things catch up last year) and got added in the midst of the draught last year because of poor planing on my part.

I like the bloom - it seems to be getting better as the plant settles in. Most of what I bring in from warmer climates seems to take a season or 2 to really get going and BBB is proving to be no exception on that front.

Thank you to all who commented on BBB.
It was especially helpfully to learn that JWWC in zone 5 has it, and it has survived our winter.
Bill Maryott has always sent me great plants and lots of bonus plants. I will continue to buy from him.

I got Busy Being Blue last year, it was small and has remained small this year, with a small flower. It also wasn't very blue for me.

Here is Blue Beat. I really like it and have had since the year of introduction.

I can't wait to get mine! I did not order any blues before but I got three blues last year as bonuses. Then I starting liking them a lot, I got Blue Rhino, Bluegrass Memories, and Mississippi Blues. Looks like I am starting a blue collection here. LOL.
