My Roselett opened today, as did my Pink Fernleaf..

I would like to learn more about how you acquired the pink. It is supposed to be vary rare according to everything I have read. I just cut the last blossom from my double reds today. It was a late bloom but we are expecting heavy rains tomorrow and I don't like to see the stalks bent over.

Jerry, I thought that would perk your curiosity. I bought it from a fellow in Kansas City. Do you belong to the Heartland Peony Society? You might want to check it out.

I dropped my membership in APS due to its being geared more to meetings etc. I think the HPS may have more to offer to people like myself, non-pro but serious about peonies. I just may join.

Back to the pink fernie, that is not only hard to find but is a real treasure if my info is correct. I may have seen one for sale by one of the top nurseries but the details escape me.

Sea Shell with a lot more blooms open today, thanks to our 79 degree weather.

You have a great selection of peonies and are lucky to have them blooming now. This is typical of mine.

My pink double is up and budded already and a couple of the new ones have a bud. I still need to dig up the one that hasn't shown any pips. I guess it died.

I will measure it tomorrow but it appears to be about average size.

This pink single tops out at about 28-30 inches. Early bloomer compared to the other regular peonies.
