I'll vote for that, Marilyn. I'd particularly love to see a forum for Agastaches, but they are both in the mint family so perhaps they could go in a forum together - at least for the time being. nodding
I garden for the pollinators.

That would be fine with me. Salvia is a large genus and I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention. Agastache is not so large (but important) so it would be good grouped together with the Salvias. Just my opinion, of course. Smiling

We had a Salvia Forum in our California Living Cubit. The threads were moved from Cubits to the Pacific Coast Gardening Forum here, and I see five threads there now with "Salvia" in their names. They could be moved over to a Salvias Forum.

I agree
I vote for that. I love my Agastache. So far I haven't found a salvia that makes it through our very long, wet season.
S. 'Black and Blue' lasted for 2 years, Pineapple Sage hasn't made it through the wet/cold season.

I would participate in this new forum.

Arif the last photo sure looks like a Salvia, can't tell about the other two photos, to fuzzy for my old eyes. Smiling

I agree, Lynn, they all look like Salvias to me, but I'm not absolutely positve.

No problem at all! Green Grin! Thumbs up

The last one sure looks to be a beautiful red Salvia, but I'm not sure of the other two. Maybe someone else can chime in to help you.

Lovely. This is my favorite but it's borderline here so grown as an annual.

This is one I want.

I garden for the pollinators.

Wow! Beautiful! I gotta grow 'Limelight'!!! Drooling Green Grin! Lovey dubby Thumbs up I didn't know if it would bloom here before the frost/freezes, so I never grew it before. I hope to get it for the 2013 season!

Most Salvias I grow are grown as annuals and you're a warmer zone than me! I'd love to be rated 7a instead of 6a! Every Fall, I watch the temp. lows we get 'like a hawk' and worry.

Last Winter was very unseasonably warmer and some of the Salvias overwintered! Hurray! I want last year's Winter every Winter! Green Grin!

You can easily find 'Hot Lips'. It's a beauty! Lovey dubby

Yes, I think 'Limelight' would bloom in time for you. It blooms late for me, but I love the color of the foliage so that makes the wait okay. nodding

I'm going to get seeds for 'Hot Lips' this year.

So many of the Salvia are rated for zone 8a and above, but I do tend to zone-push so I am going to add some I've been wanting and hope for the best. Green Grin!

Beautiful Lovey dubby . Now could some one explain to me why Salvias available here are at most two feet while these appear to be quite taller? Marilyn have you got the camera at ground level looking up Confused

Arif.
