Although a badge for every state is a nice concept, I rather like the geographical badges better. They seem more helpful in understanding folks' posts to see what type of growing clime they come from. Most folks also seem to include their state and sometimes city in the area above the badges so for me the state badges are a bit of a redundancy. I do agree that Washington has two very distinct geographic regions divided by the Cascade Mountains, and one badge for WA would not be particularly illustrative of anything (in my opinion). The same is likely true for many other states. I'm happy with the Pacific NW badge, which to me symbolizes a temperate growing climate with plenty of rain. Eastern Washington, eastern Oregon, and Idaho could likely all share a badge of some sort - not exactly sure what would best symbolize it, although a prior suggestion of a pine cone/tree with icicle hit a note with me.

As an aside, I like the badges that are simple shapes against white, as opposed to the ones that are more like square photographs. Just me.

There's only one badge for the state of Florida but we have at least 3 different growing zones here. What grows in the southern part of the state will not survive winters here on the central east coast, some plants that do well here would not survive winters in the northwest part of the state etc., but it would be difficult to decide what badge to use for different sections of the state.

I think there are probably many states with very different growing zones.

Me too! My yard is typically a week behind every other yard in the area when it comes to trees blooming, etc. Even my Stella D'Oros bloom a week later than the ones across the street. Hilarious! (but he has a company come in and fertilize his yard every month, whereas I try to keep mine chemical free)

I wanted to get a microbadge in support of the "Ask A Question" forum, but did not see one. Could we have one? Maybe a big "Q".

I saw a blue-gray question mark called "What in the world is this?". What in the world is that? A "Plant ID" expert?

I'll contemplate what might make a good "Ask a Question" badge.

As for the blue gray question mark microbadge, nobody knows what it means. It's one of the great mysteries of ATP.
