I saw that it was going to be warmer in New England today than here. I don't mind.

Dermatologist today, finally. I still look like a pink dalmation. I was having intestinal pain yesterday and Tuesday and my regular doctor got me in to a GI yesterday. She thinks I have inflammation all over my body and thinks the dermatologist will will be the better one to assess that. She didn't prescribe another antibiotic or prenisone since I am seeing the dermatologist today. So it's nothing that is going to kill me now. She thought it could be Henoch-Schonlein purpura, but she wasn't certain. I don't think she has seen that before. She told me I could take Advil for the pain and that helped a lot. My head hurt a lot yesterday but isn't so bad today.

Interestingly, I remember from a guest speaker at work ages ago, the statement that your intestines and lungs are extensions of your skin in a way.. all surfaces. So it does not surprise me that you can have intestinal irritation too.
Just hoping everybody's pains get better soon!
Plant it and they will come.

@Kelli, I am so sorry for all your issues. I have no doubt that you feel miserable. So... you saw the GI doc today... did you see the dermatologist?
I'm sure it's miserable. I so hope you can find some answers/ hope/ treatment soon.

The worst of the storms bypassed us and a super tornado hit Alabama in the Birmingham region around 6:00 pm. 5 people killed when I quit watching last pt night. I'm praying for all the families affected. Group hug I've been so lucky and blessed to have had so many bad tornados bypass where I've lived in my state. I mean literally watch the funnel cloud pass overhead and then set down somewhere else.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.

Wow, Lynda. Sad about the Birmingham area and makes me glad I live in a place where tornadoes are rare, although we had one touch down in a few places 2 1/2 years ago.

Bells last night went well and we successfully recorded another selection. This one is slated for April 25; so we are now well ahead of the game.

We had a horrible night. My husband's glucose monitor was alarming around 4 a.m., then there was all kinds of noise outside with rain and wind! At least we didn't lose power this time. Thousands are still without power. Yawn... I'm just sleepy.

Well, I went to the dermatologist and I told her my story and she looked at my condition and my blood test results. She is reluctant to give prednisone at this time since it is an immune suppresant. She gave me a prescription for a cream that I am supposed to put on much of my body twice a day for a week. I feel like this is using a squirt gun to put out a forest fire. I don't know. Not much confidence here.

She said she was going to give me a one pound jar of cream but the pharmacy gave me an 80 gram tube. I have used it twice and it is half gone. I called the office. The prescription was supposed to be for 454 grams but the insurance probably restricted it. (I think 454 grams is 1 lb. I'm not so good on metric weight.) My dermatologist isn't in today but another doctor is going to call the pharmacy and try to get them to fill the whole thing since I need to use this over a lot of my body. My gut feeling is that this will not go smoothly.

Oh no Karen, I hope you get some rest.
I had 45 minutes of swimming, but today I'm going to have burger and fries, plus milkshake. There goes my exercise. I'm also going to go shopping for a sport car for my husband. Just driving to see if he still can drive a stick shift, we will see.

DH went to the pharmacy and they said that the insurance will only pay for 80 mg every 24 days. He paid for five more tubes out of pocket. It wasn't all that expensive.

Kelli - I'm glad you resolved the issue with the cream, but what a bummer to have to pay out of pocket for something that is PRESCRIBED! I hope it works.

Karen - I hope you got some rest.

I'm going to bike tonight. It's been raining all day - quite hard at times. I left my car out on the driveway to get a free car wash last night. Heading to points east of here, like my massage therapist, I have to go through a construction zone and it was a bit rainy on Wednesday. You'd never know I had washed the car last week after that.

Gonna go start some pizza crust for dinner.

They used something. They also used that for a probiotic the GI prescribed and the insurance wouldn't cover at all. Other things the insurance covers 100%, so go figure. It was $35 for five tubes and one tube without insurance is $18-something.

Kelli, while I certainly hope it helps, and quickly and completely-- like you said, it doesn't seem like much of a treatment. At least it wasn't wildly expensive.

It's been in the 70s and sunny (and windy) all day here, we're sitting on the deck in the shade. Took a walk, nothing excitingly scenic but had the place to ourselves. The scenic ones are often too crowded. Rolling my eyes. Found a couple tiny wildflowers, and heard lots of frogs.
Plant it and they will come.

I'm getting ready to go swimming for 45 minutes, a little bit early. I have so many things to do today in the garden now that car thing is out of the way.

Yesterday I spent 5 hours at a car place, that seems like eternity, but it's a gift for my husbands big birthday which is coming up. Good thing he was able to drive home yesterday in a brand new car, he felt like he's 17 again.

Aw SoCal.. my husband also decided to buy himself a dream car of some kind, I don't know yet, to arrive in May. He's turning 68 tomorrow. I think he'll feel 17 again, too.
Another gorgeous sunny day which makes me obsess over plant things- get them all 'fixed up' so they can enjoy the sun too. I have to stop myself, we have chilly nights yet to come, the tropicals won't like.
Some garden things change overnight! New growth, wasn't there the day before.

Visiting daughter for lunch, I think we can eat at a waterside place on the deck- or at least walk at the park on the water. The wind has gone Hurray!
Plant it and they will come.

Did 30 minutes on the bike yesterday and went for a good walk today. Much cooler than it has been. Tomorrow is supposed to rain again. We had an inch yesterday. There's still snow around, but only where it's been shoveled into high banks or where it gets no sun like north of my house.

It has been a very good maple syrup season with low temps below freezing at night and above during the day and it may continue for awhile, but several days next week will be totally above freezing while on Thursday it is predicted to be below freezing all day.

Covid numbers are up in Ottawa and the numbers of the variants are much higher. Gonna stay isolated until I get my injection on Friday and DH on Saturday.

We've ordered Indian food for this evening and I'm nearly finished the back of my sweater - maybe about 40 rows to knit, but many fewer stitches at the shoulder than at the bottom. Will see what I can knit while watching TV this evening.

My house will go up for sale. A friend of mine is going to try to buy it, along with the other two renters houses that the present renters couldn't finance. Whether she can will depend on whether these houses will be put on the market and be sold as is, which will require a cash sale. The houses, anyway, this house, would require a home inspection for a mortgaged sale, and this one wouldn't pass inspection for certain mortgages. In any case, the charity that owns this house would not want to spend the money to do the repairs because they probably don't have the money to do the repairs. My friend would flip the other two houses and do the repairs on this one, allowing me to stay as a renter while I continue to work on my credit to try to buy at a later date.
If the sale is as is, I'm not sure if anyone here would have the cash to buy in and then put money towards the repairs, I may be mistaken. Real estate is hot here, but not for homes like this. Sales being done for houses in the 75, 000 to 200,000 range are going like gangbusters.
If my friend can't buy it and it is either a mortgaged sale, I will ask for at least a 45 day escrow to allow me time to find another rental, pack and move.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
