Oh, how horrible. Hope the semps are ok (most important). It must have been a big wind! Need even bigger rock? Bad squirrels, taking advantage of semps misfortune...!!!

Me too Jennifer!!! We have gusts around 40mph today here so yeah you really need to secure your new greenhouse. At least you thought about it and tried with a big rock though. Hope your semps are ok....im sure they will be. Thumbs up

Just got confirmation that the one ceramic planter is toast. The rest were in plastic or metal so no loss there. Still no word on the plants but hubby wouldn't know. Maybe I should tell my boss I need to leave early because my babies were in an accident! Crying

I know it's supposed to be serious, but do your co workers know that the babies are semps? Sorry but I had to chuckle over my coffee.

Oh Jennifer, I am so sorry to hear about the accident. Group hug
Thank heavens semps are tough. They might have some damage to leaves but will recover. They will be fine until you get home to gently tuck them in again. But I sure do realize how stressful it is. Same thing I feel when I go out to the beds and find some pulled up by birds, or whatever. Sad

That would really be frustrating.... especially when you are first starting off and don't have many going yet.

Well the semps seem fine. Hubby did a great job of finding them all! The cover to the mini greenhouse did not do well Sad But nothing some duct tape can't fix Rolling on the floor laughing

Jennifer, I'm sorry - that is a bummer when "things happen" Thumbs down Glad you located them all!! And I totally agree with Lynn, they'll be fine. When I redid my semp wall I removed all the semps into the new wall (that I could see) and had just dirt left in the old one, well as its rained in the past week I've found some tiny seedlings, and they're doing totally fine, even though they'd been completely turned under the soil! They really are tough little guys! I guess you have to be when your usual home is on top of a cold windy mountain! nodding Good luck though! I tip my hat to you.

Great point Greg!

Jennifer, Im glad they are ok. Are you still liking your new greenhouse overall? I still am thinking about going to get one while they are on sale here this weekend. Glad your hubby saved your babies today! Hurray!

Jackie, obviously I have to find a way to weigh it down better! Not sure how yet. I'm too cranky tonight to deal with any of it. Maybe tomorrow I'll figure it out

Yes, Couple sand bags maybe?? Maybe a couple gallons of water might do the trick. Are you keeping your semps out all day now?

Is there anything nearby that you could bungee strap it to? Or tie it down? If you tie it down, you're best bet might be to run the rope front to back across the top shelf...if it's sturdy enough? I use a lot of bungee cords here. I'm thinking I'd set it next to a post, fence or tree trunk and strap all the way around the upright and the GH.

Jackie they were totally fine in the cold. Being protected from getting wet I think helped. They even were fine being tossed around.
