Thank you! Honestly, I bought it on a whim because I caught it at a clearance price of 2.99 and couldn't pass that up. I'm so glad I bought it now, because the bloom is spectacular.

An earlier Frans Hals that had trouble. Pretty sure it was the Cholula hot sauce (awkwardly coughs). It had the yellow color of the third picture IRL, but my phone was stupid on the first picture.

Everydaylily Red Ribs. Such a trooper. This was its 3rd round of scapes (only 2 with just a few buds). But it will keep going until frost. Got it last year from Breck's (before I fully learned about the proper daylily sellers. The fact things are sold as double fan still delights me), & I have really been enjoying it & the Everydaylily Rose.

And my current excitement: Elegant Explosion has thrown up a very nice looking scape for me! First bud should open in the next day or so, & I am SO PSYCHED.

Marika, I have EveryDaylily Cerise, which I also bought online before I knew anything about where to buy daylilies. It has been a terrific performer for me, though. It just sent up another scape. This pic is from earlier this summer.

I am back from traveling for 17 days far from my gardens. I would have liked to have made visits to more gardens on my trip but only a few fit in with the other agenda. I enjoyed all the New England cottage gardens and the Coastal Maine Botanical gardens. Did not find a beach on the rocky coast but that was no problem since that weather and water was too cold for lswimming for my hot southwestern acclimation.
Home to messy over grown gardens. Some rebloom but mostly in the seedling and miniature beds.

Yes Char, "daylilies love a morning temp of 71" … as I vaguely remember. Our low this August 12 was 49. Very little bloom is left here.

Very new in our garden, why do I like it? Three scapes and on one day four blooms open on each scape, twelve blooms and none of them getting in each other's way, not bad for a start. How about extended bloom and still lots of buds to go. Throw in five way branching and I've got a keeper.

This is the best shot I could get of SDG. Remember we are talking about 49 degrees and 13,000 foot mountains due east of us and very close. "Sunrise" (warming) is quite late in the morning here. I thought you might appreciate a little detail though…

I believe there has been speculation that if the Titanic had used welding (rather than rivets) it might have fared better (probably not).
